Join us for winter Tiny Tots at History Colorado. Museum admission is complimentary for Tiny Tots attendees. Tiny Tots was named in Westword’s “Best of Denver” 2017. The experience is one-of-a-kind!
Winter Tiny Tots will highlight guest artists from Kim Robards Dance, Central City Opera, and Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Kids will learn about how the orchestra works as a team to make music – with focus on individual instruments and how they work together.
Come dance, sing, and learn in an environment designed for little ones to explore the world of the orchestra!
About Tiny Tots:
Tiny Tots gets children truly “inside the orchestra” by seating the audience on the floor and surrounding them with our 30+ piece professional orchestra.
Designed for children six and under, Tiny Tots is a 45-minute program that gives young ones the chance to interact with the conductor and the musicians and learn about the instruments in the process. Children are encouraged to respond to different elements of the music, from thinking about how music makes them feel to getting on their feet and moving. They are treated to up-close-and-personal demos by various instruments, introduced to musical concepts, emotional understanding of the arts, and artistic expression. The music selection, design, and scripting of Tiny Tots is geared to connect very young children with music – physically, emotionally, and mentally. Children are also encouraged to take a closer look at the instruments and ask questions of the musicians after the concert has concluded. Every Tiny Tots event includes guest performers from some of our cultural partner organizations.
